Incident Description
At approximately 3.18pm on September 2 2024, a technical issue related to MS Azure cloud deployment infrastructure caused one Hitrak customer to temporarily lose access to some Hitrak functionality.
The temporary loss of access resulted from a failed attempt to repair a faulty deployment slot in the cloud hosting environment, which temporarily disrupted access to consignment information for Admin Portal and the Driver App for affected customers while full functionality was restored.
The outage was fully resolved with full access to applications restored by 3.25pm.
Systems and Data Affected
Consignment data was temporarily unavailable in the admin portal and driver app for affected clients.
No application data was compromised by the outage.

Root Cause Analysis
During standard maintenance on 1 September, a faulty deployment slot was identified in the impacted production environment.
In attempting to resolve the faulty deployment slot, the production slot was inadvertently compromised, the issue was immediately identified and production capabilities restored, the entire incident lasted 7 minutes.
